So I forgot the first writerly ways of the year

I'm off to a stellar start. I have no really exciting thoughts on it either but I DID want to make something of a challenge or offer of support, however you'd like to take it for all my writer friends (I was thinking original fiction but if you're strictly a fan ficcer, no reason you couldn't join in). I was thinking of setting aside a time (sunday, or whatever works) for the writers to chime in if they met their weekly goal or not (who knows, maybe I'll be moved to make a 'hey I did it' graphic to use).

I wasn't thinking of using a comm for it (though I DO have an old comm that could be used if people wanted to, nanomowhinging), since frankly, there's not that many of us any more on LJ. I'm not sure we need a comm. The goals are completely arbitrary, word count, chapter editing, character outlining, whatever it is YOU want to do that day. I find accountability keeps me working when otherwise I might not. Anyone interested?

And technically it's all for 12_daysofficmas so not really good for much else. I do hope people are enjoying it.

My first goal is to: take it easy. I have to drive back to work and next week is the first week of a BRUTAL schedule. I'll worry about goals after the 17th.

Tonight and tomorrow is suppose to snow and ice just so I can't get to the damn doctor's. Well I'm not killing myself, he can send an order for the shot to my ortho in OH and he can do it. If it's terrible that's my plan.

Christmas is now officially packed away. Took until 8 pm tonight but it's done.

That sounds like it could be a good idea. I'm not sure accountability holds me to anything more than anything else, but might make me do some more writing, regardless. Or something.

It depends on the person really. I know how I work and without any accountability I don't. And now I've lost one of my long-time outlets for that
