Roy is a tied in the wool romantic. He's grown up with women (and one half crazed master). He believes he knows what does and doesn't work when it comes to romance and he's usually spot on.

Roy believes in making the woman happy and sets out to know her well before he does anything. He wants to tailor the romance to fit the woman in question.

It helps that he's a natural flirt and he's not shy about that. He's pretty bold unless he thinks the woman would want someone more laid back and a pushover.

Madame Christmas wanted to put her nephew to work in her spy ring because he's a natural at romanticizing women and getting info from them but Roy is happier as an alchemist. However, he's not opposed to using what his aunt taught him

For all of the tachi, the friendship is built on mutual respect. It wasn't easy in the beginning. All they had was the knowledge that Mustang cherry picked them for his team and there was a certain pride in that.

However they are very different people. It took them a while to find common ground. Falman and Breda managed it first because they're both quick witted and intelligent. Fuery was shyer and took more time. Havoc is the golden retriever of the group and got along with everyone.

It took less than 30 seconds for all the men to realize a) no one messed with Hawkeye and b) she was the one really in charge
