These Dreams

It was a very complicated dream that I lost some of even though I was awake and repeating it in my head to try to remember it. evil_little_dog, silvrethorn & I were somewhere. I'm not sure if we were living together (I got that impression) or just visiting but we were going to a Steampunk symposium that seemed to be in an abandoned mall, one of those big ones that pretended to be an European village with apartments, restaurants, theaters etc.

I can not tell you what ELD and I wore but we were squabbling about it which is ridiculous. I have about half a foot of height on her and Silvrethorn when you get down to it. We can not share clothing. However, I can tell you what Silver had on because it shocked me (even more shocking is that the picture I'm going to share is so very close to it and I've never seen this pic before). She came out in an emerald green gown that was more Flamenco than Victorian and her shoes were big platform almost pony boots of black lace and huge emerald 'stones.' (Silver loves horses but I'm betting not so much pony boots). It really did look like this only the skirt came to just below the knee. In the dream I felt it was an odd choice. I would have thought she'd have gone Dieselpunk and wear a Flapper dress.

At one point in the dream as we went around the symposium, we separated. Silver wanted me to follow her into the theatre that was set up funny, lots of seats in the middle and then rows of single seats on in front of the other at the sides. There were several men in all black outfits with silver masks and I was afraid of them. I got such a bad feeling about them. Silver sits in a single chair and wanted me and ELD to sit in front of her. I thought that was odd too and I really didn't want to sit. The movie started, a silent one and I didn't watch it long. The men were freaking me out so I left.

Later ELD and I catch up with Silver and she was very excitedly telling us about finding a vendor who had a designer she loved (I can't remember the name). She had got a red tea pot purse from here ala Alice in Wonderland style sort of like this . Silver was so proud of it and ELD wanted it. We were starting to the upper level of the mall to get back to this vendor when I woke up.

I would totally wear emerald green, and the pony boots would make me as tall as you. I would also break both my ankles within minutes of putting the pony boots on. As for the flamenco--really? And a red teapot purse with a green dress? Dream self is on crack.

I've had numerous dreams about going to movies/being in theaters, usually with something weird about them (strange seating, they're empty, odd people in the audience). They must mean something, but I've never figured out what. You're the only other person I know of who dreams about theaters very often, so we must be sharing some similar stress factor or something.

You would look great in green. You are not alone in dying if heels that high were attempted. Don't ask me, brain wanted ruffly trains and weird purses.

I do dream about theaters a lot and the rambling, maze-like houses/malls/hospital/schools all the time. I have no idea what it means

I have those rambling, maze-like house dreams, too. I had one where the maze-like house opened into a weird theater, like you could crawl through an opening in the attic and you were in the theater. I guess that dream was a two-for-one deal. Then there are the dilapidated-old-Victorian-house dreams. Thankfully my dream-self never goes inside those houses, but dream-self always frets about them because (a) they're creepy and (b) something beautiful has fallen into ruin. I haven't had any of those in a long time, though.

I have dreams about rambling huge houses and they're always haunted. Not any theaters, though.

Silvrethorn would look gorgeous in that dress, but then again, she looks gorgeous in about anything.

Yup. I have lots of dreams about big houses. Yesterday's dream had a big, rambling house in it, despite it being a ranch-style.

BTW, I have to tell you that your LJ name has been giving me a chuckle at work lately. There is an Environmental Law Division in the military that is abbreviated ELD, and I always read it as "Evil Little Dog." It makes the reports much more entertaining.:-)
