I think we doubled our snow

It snowed non-stop for about 14 hours today. That is something for this area of the country. My neighbors had their 10 year old out there shoveling the walk at 10 PM when it finally stopped. Special

I didn't leave the house. I'm wondering if I can get out of here tomorrow.

I did, however, clean. Not much but I did it. Mom doesn't get it. She has NO idea how sick I get when I clean. 'DId you wear your mask?' Yes, I did. 'You lie.' (she's right. I did). I couldn't find my masks. I think I'm out. I'm still wheezing hours and much medication later. Mom still thinks I could have this whole place cleaned. Nope, sorry. I DID get one shelf off my 'bathroom linen closet' stand cleaned. I couldn't get another thing on it. Afterwards, it's almost empty and I have 6 toothbrushes and 7 toothpastes....And if you wonder at my declutter stuff this is why. I hoard shit like this. It's all useful stuff but...okay the 1001 lotion bottles probably aren't. Kanda was unimpressed because the whole place smells perfumey as I kept testing stuff.

I also wrote. I think I have a short story ready to go and I rewrote Blood Red Roulette ch 1 again.

I also got through more TV. It's SO weird watching Christmas shows a the end of Feb. THAT'S how behind I am. If not for this week I was still back on ELECTION DAY!

I feel really bad about this another teenage suicide but what makes me feel bad is that I saw this picture in so many memes mocking awkward photos and it makes me feel like I took part in the online bully of this poor young man. I know that I didn't but still...

I had not seen or heard of 'laser cat'... but I have seen other pictures like it (most were older - from the 70s or 80s which I think this modern style of photo recreates/tongue-in-cheek mocks). But we have all been a bit harsh with walmart portraits, "people of walmart" etc

and I can see that this young man appreciated the tongue-in-cheek humor of having a laser-filled picture with his cat - all done in good fun for a good cause - but that someone like him could not have imagined the horribly crushing, clique-driven cruel humor that people are capable of (exacerbated I'm sure by the very impersonal but highly personal social media sites)

And the loss of such a person makes it all the worse... He's the kind of human we need more of, not less

I wish I could say he's in a better place... the best I can hope is that his death will make some of us better people (and I hope his cat will be ok)

We also got some snow yesterday. At one point when I looked out the window, I felt like I was in a snow-globe. XD Hard to say how much snow we got since we still had snow form all the other times it snowed. XD Glad you were able to put being house bound to good use. :D

I just heard about that poor boy on the radio. It's very sad that people, most of whom never met him, were so cruel to him like that, that he felt so crushed & took his own life. He had his whole life ahead of him. I hope those idiots are proud of themselves. Seriously. And his poor family... I can't even begin to think about the pain they must be going through.

His cat is with his parents and yeah some of these sites are pretty mean. Like I said to Kira, I'm sure the picture was a mere tip of a much larger iceberg. Teenagers are cruel creatures and bullies make up the social pack mentality of h.s. It's too easy to get beaten down.

That's true. *nods* I've been picked on at school too. What made em laugh was meeting one of my tormentors several years later & she wanted to be friends, never apologized for making my life a living hell, & couldn't understand why I was like "no." XD This went way too far, with this poor kid being picked on by peeps who had no idea who he was, nor did they have a clue they might be hurting his feelings, even though they can't be all that stupid.

It was surprisingly bad. Well Saturday it DID snow for @12 straight hours.

Yeah that happened to me at my 25 h.s. reunion (omg it's my 30th this summer. Bawls) One of the worst tormentors I had told me she wished her daughter was more like me back then. I almost couldn't stop myself from saying' Really? Do you REMEMBER who fucking mean you were to me?' I almost didn't survive h.s. And they know how mean they are. They enjoy it. It's the consequences the adolescent brain can't wrap itself around well.

Yeah... But I'm also sure this kid being a meme had adults in on it, never realizing this was a kid's HS yearbook pic. And that it w3asn't some kid from the 80's but a kid from right now. An adult can laugh that off, but a kid woudl be upset by it. I also wonder what the kids who started this torment of that poor kid have to say about their "angels." "Kids will be kids" doesn't cut it.

You're right about me. I think a lot of them are jealous. They're either stay at home moms or in low paying jobs which there is nothing wrong with either but sometimes grass looks greener and all that. Her kid is probably as dim as she was.

Too true! I see it A LOT at Dragon Cave in the forums. Peeps want CB metals, but don't want to put in the time hunting them. They want Dragon X cuz someone else has it & they think it's "not fair" they're the only one with it. Geeze the sense of entitlement over there gets crazy. >.>
