More than a little freaked out

Now I've been home for hours by the time I decide to sit in front of the TV for dinner. That's when I notice te VCR isn't on. I thought well maybe we had a storm and it got whacked or blew a breaker. I try the TV. It works just fine...not the breaker. A weird feeling hits and I look around the room. It looks just like I left it as does the rest of the house. I run the cord and it's unplugged.

Okay so that's a little freaky. I can't imagine why anyone would come in and unplug my VCR except that maybe than my friend was around working on the shitty reception or something on his house. It takes me another two hours to get in touch with him. He has NOT been here but assures me all the locks were changed after the last tenant and for me to check all the doors and the wood chute in the basement.

Well isn't this lovely, so I YIM Druinsanity just because I can see her online and give her this address with the caveat if I'm not back in about 15 minutes I won't be coming back. I get my weapons and stalk the house. Everything is locked. The two doors in the garage are locked. The basement is locked up (and this creepy assed basement has doors like you can't believe including three under the stairwell into more storage. The wood chute is blocked off. I pull down the attic but it's covered with webs. Ain't nothing been up there and it's not like I'm going up to make sure.

So, if it wasn't my friend and there's no sign of a break in and nothing's been moved otherwise, which ghost unplugged my VCR and why.

That's just...strange. It isn't whazzhisname, your particular ghost, deciding you're spending too much time with the VCR, is it?

Telcameshi has never done that before and hell I'm rarely in there any more...I don't know but put it htis way this is not something that could be unplugged by accident and it didn't just fall out of the wall since it was curled up behind the TV

there is a thing called cleaning? No, it was on last night and this wasn't just loose from the wall. The cord was curled up nex to the tv. It was done purposefully

I know this is going to sound stupid, considering what always happens to you, but is there any chance you have a rat, or a cat got in, or some other freaky deaky animal? It just seems weird that that was the only thing out of place - you'd think a ghost would have more fun.

I can't rule out a rat/mouse. They've been in here before. BUt they would have had to it out of the wall and back over to the tv. I could check for little teeth marks,...
