Turns out the problem wasn't the landlord not turning on the hot water tank. It keeps kicking out which means the whole thing needs replacing. Well it IS 11 years old and was a cheap piece of shit from the get go. Which means I have to go tell the landlord BUT I plan on clearing out of here for two weeks. I might just tell him, keep resetting it and worry about it when I get back.

Then I got a call from the doc, no doubt to talk about what was found on the breast exam. So I call back at 4 pm. And they were GONE already. You know, that's sort of a dick move. Leave a message and then don't say hey by the way we get off work super early. The answering service told me well they start at 7 AM. Um who the fuck cares? Most people don't want to get up uber early to get health care. After work, yes, the ass crack of dawn, no. Guess I'll call them tomorrow.

And all my students in that odd online class wanted their test a day early rather than come down to main campus so I'll be up all night finishing that.

So here let's have a music monday. I haven't done that in a while. I have to admit I like Fallout Boy (I'm assuming that's a Simpson's shout out). They often have videos that remind me of the 80s

Yesterday I wrote 301 words on Blood Red Roulette, today I wrote, 3,255 on my FMA bigbang, playing along with the write every day in August challenge. I did write on the first but I don't remember how much, about 400 words give or take.

Indeed the band mentioned the name is a shoutout to the Simpsons, haha. I used to be pretty big on Fall Out Boy (I even did a Roy/Riza fanfic (http://bay115.livejournal.com/92903.html) with the title based on one of their lyrics, haha), but lately I'm not as excited as them as before. Maybe because some of my friends on Tumblr overhyped them for a while. I still quite like Centuries and Immortals, though.

I've always wondered why it was strangely easier to go to the Doctor in the early morning than the late afternoon. I guess they like the same work hours I do (get in and get it over with). By 7 am I've been at work two hours and am getting ready for my first break.

ETA: I watched 'em. Cool. I guess I DO like Fallout Boy (I knew their name, but didn't realize I actually knew their music, too).

I've started getting into video games a lot lately, so I'm in a few video game fandoms now haha. There are also a couple cartoon shows I check often on Tumblr like Gravity Falls and Steven Universe (though I haven't really produce much fanworks for those two shows except a short AU fic for GF).

Yeah both shows have been running for a couple years already. I didn't get to check them out until much later haha. Gravity Falls is mystery oriented that deals with weird stuff happening in that town. Steven Universe is more sci-fi with some fantasy elements about a boy being raised by gems (they're considered aliens from some town folks) from another planet/universe.

Both are on cable channels. Steven Universe is on Cartoon Network while Gravity Falls is in Disney XD/Disney Channel (forgot which one it usually airs in). I don't have cable, so I usually watch them in the internet LOL.
