Parents made it home safe

They were in North Carolina on vacation but took off early because of the weather. As far as I can tell they had the worst vacation ever between Lucky Uncle's wife being a pill and Prejudice Girl (who lives in NC) taking over every aspect of the vacation.

Krogers is hosting a taste of italy with a lot of Italian treats. I was very excited to find speck, a form of prosciutto. At twice the price I learned after I got home with it. Ah well. It's a treat.

I got Jim Butcher's new steampunk novel Aeronaut's Windlass. the freaking thing is HUGE.

Cutting this short since I'm a little annoyed about my writing and I should get back to it. Also the crappy weather keeps knocking out my internet.

But first tinhutlady wrote an epic poem from a prompt I gave her. Reads like a medieval song-poem

Oh man! I did not know Butcher's latest was out already. Have never read steampunk, but might be willing to try.

For once I was on top of things. So far it's....ambling. It's not great but it's not bad either. But it's already building to something in the first 50 pages while trying to introduce a shit ton of characters and storylines. Freaking thing is over 600 pages
