Another semester in the bag

I don't know how it's December (or how it was nearly 70 today but I'll take that) but it is. My semester is over. I have all the finals graded. I just have a few online homeworks left to grade and to put the final grades in and attend that monday meeting.

I did cave and decide to keep that new selected topics class even though I'll barely get paid for it. Two of the students in it are fantastic and will go to medical school I have no doubt. They don't need hampered by one professor who needs to retire. I'm basically reteaching his class with more emphasis on a few microbiology aspects. I'm not sending them out of here knowing nothing of micro. It's a TON of work for very little pay off for me but for them, it will be good. It's the right thing to do.

I finished my Bear shifter story set in Deadwood. It's 13K. Anyone available to do a quick beta read? I'm a little disappointed in some of the people on Jana's list (not you guys) because I beta read for THEM but when I ask it's crickets in the inbox. Makes me think I should volunteer less but I hate being that person.

I think you're doing the right thing too with that class.

This is why I only beta for friends. It's a smaller group of peeps & we help each other out. If you want to send it, send it. I'm still reading Vegas Vamps. I started back at the beginning, cuz I had forgotten where I had left off before. XD

WOW! Here's it's warm, but not that warm. It's nearly 3:30 & the sun is gone. *sighs* It was sunny when I left for lunch, but getting out, it felt much later on in the day than it is. XD It also got a bit colder too.

So NOT nice! I can see why you're annyed with them.

You're so thoughtful for your students. I hope some of them appreciate it.

I'll probably look at Deadwood tomorrow in between other things I need to do (pack prezzies, make more cookies, take Mom shopping, etc). I'm sorry you're still the weird kid being ignored by the cool kids. D:
