I have a sinus infection, both ears are infected and I have a UTI (but with my diabetic meds that's pretty much a given I have one often). The doc gave me a Z pack and cough medicine (I don't really have a cough) and a decongestant. Well the pharmacy didn't have the cough medicine and they were all oh, the decongestant is 25$. So? I spent 750$ on meds last week. Turns out that decongestant was Claritin. Um...okay so it's like double the OTC dose (which would have cost the same anyhow...) The cough medicine will be here tomorrow and it's 60$. Um, NO. just no. If I start coughing I'll go buy some damn nyquil. 60$....

And I STILL have to drive 100 miles round trip on Saturday or my poor student will never get started on her research. I have to go buy the stuff in Athens. Sigh. Like I feel up to this.

The library is doing their 'blind date' thing again for Valentine's Day. You pick from a rack of covered books and read whatever you get and review it. You can win stuff. Last time I won a book (big surprise) Well I want another book so I did it (Hey I returned 2 of the 6 books I had out!!) I got a 125 mini inspiration memoirs by famous author. so you know a page and a half each. I couldn't imagine anything I'd want to read less. I'll get another one tomorrow....

My House is For Sale I have wanted this house since my first week in this place. It's glorious from the outside. Sadly there are no inside pics :( and while anywhere else this house would be twice this much, I can't imagine paying half a million to live in Jackson. I am still wondering though if my friends granddad still works for this company. COme on, have granddaddy show it to you and take me with you.

I finished a hidden object game from Bigfish called Escape from Ravenhurst. I love these games. Bigfish has hard ones. This one was impossible. I couldn't do it without the walkthrough. Even the walkthrough writers are like we've never seen anything this complicated. It had TONS of animation and storyline. I did the final scene's puzzle and then was like okay now what? Nothing happened. No final farewell from the villain, no animation no nothing. I thought maybe I did the puzzle wrong. Couldn't get back into it. I looked at two walk throughs since the one was ambiguous but the official big fish one says 'congrats you finished.'

WHAT? I did all this? Took me three weeks (of limited play a day, by choice) and there's no 'the end' I don't know what happens after he brings the ghosts helping me back to life? There's no damn resolution? In a game of crazy assed complicated convoluted storyline? thanks bigfish. jerks.

I'm sorry you're sick. Bleah. Eww to the meds.

Well, that's an annoying game if it doesn't give you a reward or something at the end! Geeze.

I need to check if the local library is having another 'blind date with a book' program going on. I enjoyed it last year!

thanks. I'm feeling a little better already. funny how that works when you take your meds

I was pretty pissed about that game. so glad I got it at half price books. If I had paid 20$....

I'm not enjoying my blind date as so often is the case...

That's very cool and yes, meds do work if you take them, Doc. ^^;

Oh, you paid for it? That's even worse!
