Well today I proved to myself once again Mapquest sucks hard. Being optimistic I spent part of the day looking at places to live around Rio Grande, thinking also that I might have to teach at Athens too (I'm hoping I heard that wrong but I don't think so, since it's like 60 miles away) So I'm trying to figure out if that is the case where would be a good place to live keeping in mind 90% of the cities in the area have less than 500 people. Mapquest is telling me certain cities are closer to Athens when I have the official state map and I know them to be south of Rio Grande not north. Warning to anyone using Mapquest, get a REAL state map. I've never once got directions from them that weren't wrong.

I finally got another chapter of Built on Lies done and I think I know what the block was. It was that it didn't NEED to an epic and I was trying to draw it out. It's about run it's course and wants to wrap up so I just need to let it (I also really really really have to start taking story notes on ideas because I never have time to write the stories and then I forget). Now to get it to my beta.

In non-fandom writing news one of my friends gave me a much needed kick in the ass about trying to get published in the form of a list of agents. Anyone want to read and critique a synopsis and the first three chapters of a horror/mystery cross genre story?

And back to Rio Grande for a moment, I'd like to kill whoever decided NOT to assign me a teaching topic. Now it's only 20 minutes but I woke up at 3 AM to dither on what would be best to do. As Maren will attest I was still dithering 12 hours later. I finally chose blood and got half the power point done before I got bored. I have the attention span of a gnat but damn I wish Nicolet would have been kinder about letting us do power point. It's nicer if you ask me.

It's retro 80's night. I love that. I love hearing the new music but weekly flash backs are fun. And I can robot dance around the kitchen (because let's face it if I tried any of the 80's dances I used to do someone would be calling 911...and that just brought up memories of our cast party pizza run from Annie at Pizza Hut where we all spontaneous started doing the worm dance and scaring the straights.

and taken from vampedvixen. This is the first and only time I've been rated an extrovert...ever
