Missing Scenes Drabbles

Angel - 1700's - Sweetness (alluded to in various flashbacks)
"Liam, are you an angel?" His sister’s face was so sweet and trusting as she led him inside.
He just smiled, as she tossed her arms around him. Cathy held him tight and for a moment he hesitated. Darla had told him it was hard to kill family but it would make him truly free. He stroked his sister’s soft hair, feeling her tears hot on his neck. Liam kissed her forehead then hugged her so she wouldn’t see his new face before his fangs found her neck. She only whimpered a little as her blood, like honey, flooded his mouth.
Angel - BtVS S1 Loss after Angel
His hands shook, sloshing pig’s blood on his normally immaculate clothing. He had sweated through them at any rate. How could he have done it? You’re in love with the girl. He screwed his eyes shut tight against the thought. He couldn’t love a Slayer.
And yet he had just slaughtered his sire for her. Darla was dust. A century of living and loving gone in a blink of an eye. She deserted you a century ago. Maybe so but there were still feelings for her inside his heart. Why did he feel almost afraid? What price would he pay for this?
Angel S 2 - Mysteries after Reprise
What does it mean? Angel has never heard of it happening before. He searched all the books he had. He even swallowed his pride and called Giles for his help, even if he didn’t exactly tell the Watcher why he needed to know.
He had gotten into Kate’s home without an invite. Had her heart stopped for just a moment, just enough to let him in? Did he care enough about her that the barrier was over ridden? What were the implications of it all? The books told him nothing. His head clouded. There were no answers. Angel hated mysteries.
Connor/Holtz - Explaining the New World pt 1 S 3 during Benediction
Steven repeated the words that Father told him and gave the woman money he had found in his stolen jacket. He didn’t understand what this place was or what money was, only that Holtz said it was very important. Steven was surprised to find he had been given a room with beds for the money.
He was even more shocked when Holtz showed him a chair that was a bowl of water and explained what it was for. He had never seen such a thing. The room had water that came from spouts like magic. Maybe this place wasn’t so bad.
Connor/Holtz - Explaining the New World pt 2 S 3 during Benediction
Holtz turned on the lights and smiled seeing his son’s eyes going wide with wonder.
"You know magic, Father?"
"No, Steven, it’s not magic. It’s electricity," Holtz remembered his own amazement after Sahjhan brought him forth.
Steven made a face at the unfamiliar word. "Candles under glass?" He touched the bulb on the table lamp experimentally then jerked back with a hiss. He popped the burnt digit into his mouth.
"Would you touch a candle, Steven? Think of it as magic that works with a switch." Holtz toggled it to show Steven how it worked.
Steven tried it. "Magic for me."
Connor/Holtz - Explaining the New World pt 3 S 3 during Benediction
"Relax, Steven, you’ve earned it," Holtz said affectionately.
Steven put his knives under the pillow after checking the bedding for little biting things. He draped his trophy bandolier over the bedpost and settled down. It was softer than anything he had ever laid on before but it smelled strongly of something astringent.
"This is my favorite part of this new world." Holtz turned on the TV.
Steven jumped up, pulling his knives. He stared wide-eyed at the tiny people captured in the box.
"Easy, son. It’s just a...play, like I told you about."
"Not magic?" Steven asked uneasily.
"No magic. It’s safe."
Connor S 3 during Benediction - Mind games
Steven curled up on the bed, unable to sleep. His mind was clouded with visions of red-tinged haze and the look on the vampire’s face as he fell in pain. The stench of blood and smoke from the barking weapon the man in blue had still filled his nostrils.
Angel had shielded him from the weapon. Steven had seen all the holes in the vampire’s back and knew they would have been in him if not for Angel. Father told him Angel would do something to win his trust to betray him later. So...why did he believe it was for real?
