slot machines

Gram gives me money. First thing mom asks is 'do you want to go to Mountaineer?' Mountaineer is a casino in WV about 40 minutes from here. Now i need money bad. So I say yes because you can't give me a dollar that I won't gamble with.

Long story short, we had a good time. I won about 150$ on the nickel machines, lost it all again. I used to hate nickels but at Mountaineer they're the only thing that hits (no lie, the quarters and dollars are too tight, they won't even give you a cherry or three single bars to keep you playing) They're video slots which I used to hate too but they have cute games on them now so you gamble and play for 'big bucks' (I won 100$ off one game) Played just a little quarters/dollars just in case (pays to know the casino and know how they have the machines set)

I drained three separate nickel machines and had to wait for money to put in it. The first two times no biggie. THe last time (in the smoking section of course) I waited over a half hour. I was ticked.

I leave for WI tomorrow. I don't know when I'll get my online set up, could be a few days could be a week I don't even have a phone yet. Might pester my new landlord to use his system just to let everyone know I got there safe.

Ficathons and a pimp

For aaronlisa  and 50thousandtearz  I do have my ficathon stories done (well the hell one is almost done)  I think the Lindsey ficathon isn't due until the end of the month and I know the hell one might move. I considered posting them early but they've only been editted by me and I tend to miss stuff in my own fic since I know how it's supposed to read. Right now my usual beta isn't really helping. I mean, really, she thinks that a hurricane causing the evacuation of 2 million Floridians is an excuse to slack off. Some people. :-)

Anyhow, I figure even if I don't get my internet up post haste I can probably post from work or my friend's place (and if anyone else wants to beta, the Lindsey one is a Lindsey/Lilah/Wes (all het) threeway and is heavily NC-17 and the hell one is Lilah with a side order of Wes just let me know)

And there's a new award site Primordial Souls it's motsly B/A oriented with a lot of subsections. One for authors (b/a slant preferred), fanfiction (B/A only) character/couple fanfic (non-B/A stuff), sites (I don't think this needs to be b/a) check it out. LONG nomination period.

speaking of gambling

Mom and I chose last night to gamble (I forgot to mention this) because Grandma (Ms I'm nearly 90 and can't stay home) went to Bingo. SHe called me to gloat today. SHe won 1000$.

AND my mom's brother and his wife were at the same casino we were in last night and we didn't see each other (that's saying something. My uncle's 6'5" he's hard to miss). He won nearly 4,000$
