Word of Warning

Here's a CONSUMER WARNING for us all. Avoid UPS. They denied all three of my claims. Two they said weren't packed right, even though a) it had hard styrofoam, soft foam, peanuts AND bubble wrap b) Office Depot okayed it. the third package they said was an 'inadequate box' It was THEIR box, the one I bought new from them at 5$ per box so if it was inadequate maybe they ought to reconsider their own product. Filing a complaint but I know it won't go anywhere. THIS is why they send the inspector to your house. They don't want customers making a scene in the store. My suggestion to you all is find another way to ship things.

I am so wired. The new anti-depressant has me cranked up. The doctor warned me about this. I could have a) drowsiness b) abundant energy c)nausea. Well yeah for B& C. Nothing like feeling like you're coming out of your skin and wanting to puke at the same time. This is why I was never tempted to do any kind of uppers. I hate this cranked up feeling.

On the upside of this, I got the rough draft of Hyperion's Son ch 16 done. Now I'm off to work on the students' test and tomorrow's lecture AND some wishlist stuff.

what a weird day

Not only do I feel like crap and UPS is screwing me but my Target card expired today. Well, they didn't enter my change of address but I straightened that out last month so I called to see why I hadn't been sent another card. Well they DID send it but my post office here refused it saying I wasn't at this address. They have the right address. Boy am I scared at what else is being sent back especially since I'm expecting some expensive packages.

THen, since I wasn't feeling well I went and laid down in front of the tv and got the shock of my life. I just figured they didn't get Jeoparady! Here. It's my all time favorite show and I've missed it so. Usually it's on around 7-730pm usually back to back with Wheel of Fortune. Well Wheel is on at 6 but no Jeopardy. It's actually on at 4;30pm. And Ken was still on after who knows how many months and 2 million dollars. I sat there thinking, this is it. This is the day he loses and damned if he didn't. My first Jeopardy in months and I saw the slaying of a giant. AND they're hiring for the clue crew. Must find someone with a camcorder.
