cheap therapy

For those of us who can't always afford a therapist, like me, I've found a few cheap therapies for bleeding off the stress. One is my friend, the shredder. So I wouldn't have to drag around bills and other personal pack ratted papers, I borrowed a shredder. There is something cathertic about turning paper into little tiny shreds, almost as good as popping bubble wrap.

Today, all the paper shredded, I went outside for a long walk in the woods which turned into a short walk because of the sheer number of ticks. No that wasn't relaxing, though I got some nice pictures of trillium and the wild garlic in bloom (pretty pale purple flowers) right outside my bed room window so that the house smells like a pizzaria (which I don't mind). The cheap therapy? Blowing the ready seeds off dandelion heads. It's like being a kid again without any cares.

Now I'm working on my presentation on wound healing and listening to Joshua Bell's Romance of the Violin (I adore violin music) It's a lovely cd and Bell is a master (www.joshuabell.com) There's about a million reasons I collect and love classical music. The peaceful feeling is one of them. Well, back to the presentation.

Weather

Really is it too much to ask to have one tornado free day? A tornado has touched down in my area every day for over a week now. I'm beginning to think that like the afternoon rains that come daily in Florida that in the North Woods, late afternoon monster storms are normal. 60 m.p.h. winds, hail and lightning, who doesn't love it? Every. Day.

Well at least, I'm not in FL any more. And for my friends in FL I sure hope the predictions for this year are very very wrong. Otherwise...


Well I'd better get back to work and see how much I can get done before the lightning starts. Sigh.
