museums & cemeteries
Jun. 5th, 2010 10:49 pmToday this was Eiteljorg museum day. I’ve been wanting to go to this museum for years ever since my friend S.M. told me about it. It’s a Native American arts and culture museum. Needless to say ELD and I spent a lot of time there. It’s a very nice museum. I reluctantly passed on the Round Dance they were holding due to time constraints. I was amazed by the Inuit bone marrow carvings. I might have to Google images of that for class. I didn’t know marrow would hold up to carving.
Then we went to Crown Hill Cemetery. For those who haven’t been following my crazy dreams but I’ve been dreaming about being lost in this very gothic cemetery. I finally saw the gates to this cemetery on line and knew I had to come. It was a very neat cemetery. Expect pictures.
Then we met with S.M. I’ve known him for oh almost 15 years through Link, one of my writers’ groups. We all went out to the Milano Inn. Good food and fun company. It was a real blast meeting him after all this time.
