not being a tremendously good break

I'm learning I'm getting less and less tolerant of mom buying me everything. We went to costco's and between us spent 200$. Granted nothing was junk/things we didn't need but still. I picked up a 16 GB flash drive for 25$ I can use it for my stories if nothing else nightly as my computer is having big time issues and I can not afford an external hard drive.

In good news, rain_oubliette is doing up art cards and the like with Japanese themes/sayings to sell to raise up a donation. She's looking for ideas. PM her if you have any.

My brother is doing worse and has to go back to talk to another surgeon next week. He doesn't even feel up for a visit from me. He's also very worried about how diminshed my shoulder is based on my responses to his questions.

Mom and I looked at Victoria, BC today.I found some fun things to do, relatively inexpensive, then learned the airlines have doubled in price. I may have to cancel out on this conference. I can't afford nearly 800$ in airfare alone. the school is giving me 900$ but if airfare eats it all I can not make up the difference. I'm really upset about this. Not only will I not be able to have another con in my portfolio for tenure but I will have to bow out of the 900$.

This also means there is probably no prayer I can go to Wales if I'm selected.

I could shoot firefox today, Not only is it insistant that my work website is a hacker site and telling it is still would not relent so I could look at my freaking email it also insisted my password was wrong at photobucket (it wasn't, it was a saved password) and LOCKED me out for two hours. Firefox does this to me all the time with the passwords.

I had a weird dream last night, I dreamt dad called us all to the back porch to see some kind of deer I've never heard of. However, the back patio was now a solarium and my uncle's two dogs Ben (golden) and Chucka (lab) were there (both are dead mind you), Ben was on his back paws because the deer had gotten inside. The deer had boar heads. furry boar heads. Ben jumped and knocked down a huge glass collection and beer stein collection. Mom and I were devestated. Pig-deer...okay brain
