A tale of two aunts and two uncles
Aug. 12th, 2012 11:41 pmand no writerly ways since I'm home, facing deadlines and have no time whatsoever to do anything.
Both my dad's brother and his wife and my mom's brother and his wife came up here, the former in the afternoon and the latter for dinner. Oddly enough both aunts had gifts for me though one forgot it at home, something that was inside a box she got at the auction (Not sure what it is yet) and the other got me a wizard and dragon dueling over a gem which is a tesla coil/plasma ball that she got at St Vincent's De Paul's. The Wizard has a broken hand but I can fix that. How cool. This aunt also had a breast reduction recently, first time I've seen her since the surgery. She's doing well.
However as a result of this, I got next to nothing done all day. Sigh. Other than to ruin a shirt washing it (I'm really tempted to take it to Macy's and have them take it back. It fell apart on the first washing. I might be able to mend the lace).
I forgot to mention yesterday as I was cutting along 327 to Wellston to get on the highway for Athens, I saw the brown ranch that I thought was nice looking from the outside was for sale. I was excited. It's closer to Athens without being too far from Jackson or work AND is in an area I would really like to live in. So this morning mom and I looked it up. check it out OMFG one, it's WAY overpriced (I can go 3 miles more into town and get that mansion for the same money) and it is one of the UGLIEST homes I've seen yet. It looks like they knocked out a support wall to open up the living room because that is the only reason I can think of for a joist and support being in the middle of the room like this was a basement. I can not to save my soul come up with a reason for why a tin roof sheeting is the ceiling in the kitchen. If you can, share. I went thrilled from having a house I've wanted for years come on the market to desolate in seeing it's an overpriced piece of shit you couldn't give me.

I was going to take the wooden spoon i got myself from Wales but forgot so here are the silver earring replicas I got mom. And it was sinful how many shots it took to get this.So tiny, so reflective and well I suck.
