Filled with ups and downs. I had to go the doctor this morning for follow up re: bad stomache. She agrees, I need to see another specialist. I need to check who is on my insurance. She also took one look at my foot and had it x-rayed. I don't know the results.

I tried to wear grown up shoes to work but my god do i regret that now. OUCH. Back to sneakers and sandals.

Work was good. My research partner agrees we need another student to do most of the online work which frees me up a little, thank god. Went to a meeting about the new honors program we're starting and I have to say that's pretty exciting really.

Got home to find out my bank called me. I forgot to mention I had this mysterious 54$ "loan" and i knew it couldn't be an overdraft loan because I had way more money in there than usual on loan from mom for the Wales trip. I had this happen last year too for 18$ So when I was up there on friday they said oh that's the fee for having overdraft protection. We used to take out out automatically but when we became wesbanco they don't allow us too. So why isn't this just charged as yearly fee for overdraft? And WHY would you let it go for years wracking up charges? ANd I DID pay you 18$ last year when no one at your damn bank could tell me why I owed it. She called to say she got some of the charges removed but didn't tell me how much I owed now. Morons.

THen mom called. The assisted living who INSISTED they could take care of grandma now says they can't and want her to go to their nursing home which is where mom wanted her in the first place. That wouldn't be a real issue other than now grandma refuses to get out of bed and refuses to eat so she might have just given up or she's doing another one of her plays for attention (maybe without fully understanding that at her age, this is far more dangerous than the times she's done it in the past). SIgh.

And so NOT to be a constant downer, here are two fun things. I can in fact buy a house with a pool. I learned over the weekend there are ROBOTS that go along the pool and clean it for you. no more skimming and vacuuming (two hard things for me to do).

And then there's this fun thing I must buy this

I made caprese salad out of the lone Belgium Giant tomato (Heirloom) that my plant produced (after harvesting seeds) and it is very sweet.

In other cooking news I made steamer clams and mussels in garlic wine sauce over angel hair pasta and served it with sauted dandelion greens, roman style. Yum. BUT in the process I managed to break one of my few remaining drinking glasses by shutting the glass door just right and somehow bumped the measuring cup into it. Also I spilled the butter/wine sauce all over my hand (blisters everywhere) and for the second night in a row there's grease all over my floor.
