I just love stuff like that. And Rin's WAHOO is for the fact that I just sent Splinters of Silver and Cold Iron in for possible publication with Harper Voyager who is having a rare 14 day open admission. Let's be honest I probably have equal chance of winning the lottery as I have of them saying yet but I DID it. I sent it in. I'm kinda nauseous (always am when I click the submit button). I hated their synopsis though. I wrote up the typical one pager and found out they only allowed 1500 characters (my fault I didn't look) AND spaces counted as characters. Getting this done took half the night but it is away.
Have I mentioned Killian, the lead in this novel, is in my class (which means something to about three people). Seriously this kid could be Killian (only Killian pays attention in class and doesn't make me want to throttle him)
Also guys I could use a favor here. I'm hosting m/m pro authors on my writer's blog. I'd love it if some of you could stop by, see what they have to say and comment to them if you'd like. Jamie Fessenden here and he's offering up a free story!
We had a very hard frost last night. I headed to work and the low tire light came on. That's not uncommon when it's cold but i'm like it's not that cold. I pull off, look, no tire appears flat. I drive on, figuring it'll go off later. It did not when I left work so had to go to the station to fill it. I have no quarters. had to buy crap at the BP to get it. ALL my tires were like 2-3 pounds under. I filled them. Let's hope no one has a slow leak. These tires are not even 4 months old and I paid a bundle for them.
Here's my (not so) funny for the day. One of the worst students in my class (never takes notes, barely awakes up for class) comes up to me to tell me he's switching schools and going to be a paramedic. 'what kind of anatomy would' i have to learn.
'The same class you're in now' (me thinking 'human, what else')
His eyes get big. "really?"
"Yes and you would have extra classes in cardiac and respiratory"
Eyes are HUGE and you can taste the dismay. "Oh."
"you have to talk advanced cardiac life saving and that is BRUTAL" (me thinking you would be a FIRST RESPONDER. you're not just driving an ambulance you idiot, you need to know stuff.)
He eventually slumped out.
