I had been wondering if these blog hops work but i can tell you I've doubled my sales, even on older stories so yes.

I almost cried several times today

First off from how much my migraine hurt plus the nausea vomiting.

Second - when I moved the class test a week later so my students would have 2 in one week, one of them (a slightly above average student) said 'you are the only professor I've ever met who actually cares if we pass or not'

Third - the faculty meeting nearly came to blows. I really wanted to shout I can TELL you never worked ANYWHERE but in a college because you don't know what it is to actually work and act like children when we're asking you to do a few extra things. The most beautiful moment came (after a couple walked out) was when one of the drafters of our new contract said to them 'next time, if you're so unhappy with the contract, why don't YOU come help negotiated it. Yes. OMG YES. I can not stand people who do nothing but bitch and refuse to help.

Fourth - being at the pre-Nano meeting with some many creative people (even if a few tempers flared, it had naught to do with me) and a young and amazingly fun waiter who looked at me and said I know you. I don't think so. I've only been here once last year. No, I remember you. You're from Name of my University. I blinked. WOW. You're memorable. God I hope it was in a good way. I'm not sure what he is, but I'm going with bi. He mentioned being with she's (which arguably doesn't mean women) and having names for his kids (out of Sleeping Beauty) but he all but flew across the room when he thought we had a picture of Chris Helmsworth and dismissed 50 Shades of Gray as not having enough gay sex. He was smart and funny and I'm old enough to be his mom but whatever, I loved you pagan boy. You made my night.

I got suckered into heading up a new committee at work today. Woot woot.

Also I had to have a little help using the hand dynamometer today (it's new equipment using hand held lab quest pros that the chemists know how to use) Two of the chemists were there and when they realized this measured muscle strength they had a man off to prove who was the stronger. I couldn't even play with my own toy :( Finally I did it and they were stunned at the marked weakness in my bad hand.

My friend ES sent this. haunted house faces I MISS doing a haunted house this year and I really miss these faces. I LOVE making men look like that
