2600 pounds of chocolate
Jun. 11th, 2013 10:12 pmNow that I have your attention, I went to see grandma today. Within a few miles is Sarris Candies, which is a local group that makes some of the best chocolate I've ever had bar none. However, I haven't been there in a long time, definitely not since it burnt and rebuilt. I got some chocolates for Dad for father's day since he won't say what he wants.
So they have this chocolate carousel,
It's 2,600 pounds of chocolate, took weeks to do and costs 130,000$. I just wanted to take a nice big bite. (my cousin took this picture, it's a bit blurry, I forgot my camera). We did a sundae. We should have gotten one and shared. I was so sick since it was so big. Yikes.
As for Grandma, she's doing the same as always. We brought along old pictures. One was of Concetta, great grandma's sister. (though I'm wondering if she's actually Aurelia) She was a stern looking woman, very dark skinned (though how much of that is the old time photos, I'm not sure) Italian.
Called up my BF from college. Hopefully we'll be getting together soon.
