What the Doc says
Mar. 12th, 2014 09:48 pmand the fox and the donkey and the wind
The fox started it with funky noises at 630 AM, the donkey took up the chorus and now the wind is going 'I'm a freight train!' with much enthusiasm.
The surgeon was shocked and I do mean shocked that they did an MRI without contrast dye last year. It had surprised me too. Extravagastion of fluid tells us about joint integrity. They took x-rays (but didn't make me take off the Thor earrings so his little hammers are on the film). The acromioclavicular joint is thickening and on the old MRI there is atrophy of both the supra and infraspinatus rotator cuff muscles which might indicate disuse secondary to a tear.
He was very concerned about my over all health. He's not really willing to do surgery at this point because of the diabetes. However since the joint itself is clear it is possible that most of this is biceps tendinitis and my brother is going to give me a lot of exercises for that.

What I just read Spiderwoman's Daughter by Anne Hillerman (not yet reviewed) It is a continuation of Tony Hillerman's Navajo detectives series and well done.
What I'm reading nowIn the Shadow of the Naves forget the author, true hauntings in English Why Kings Confess C.S. Harris, the latest Sebastian St. Cyr. Whoo hoo
What I'm reading next Not sure yet. I'm changing up my predictions
Yesterday it was 70, today it's 20. Whee.
ETA - if you want to know what I've been up to, here's a new feature what's new in writing
