went to my brother's

and we do what we always do, play cards. Unfortunately while he did give me exercises to do, the biceps issue is minor. it IS the rotator cuff that is weak so hopefully the PT will help some but this is not encouraging.

As for the cards, we were playing hearts (I won) and if you know anything about hearts you don't want the Queen of Spades. My SiL lead out with a 2 of diamonds (lowest card) but no one had a diamond and she ended up with the queen. We laughed so hard...then she ran hearts and stomped us.

I finally logged into work (I couldn't get into the email) and I DO see one of my 2 amazon gift cards there so I will be buying psycho-pass any moment now.

Did my taxes. there is a 1,500$ refund I won't be seeing. Sigh. (my student loans take it) and with my new raise I don't get much back from OH any more either. Oh well, at least I don't owe.

Also went to see all my aunts today so it was busy busy.

Spring Break is over

Kanda and I are home but not for a lack of the new GPS trying to kill me. I know the way home of course but I was testing the GPS. It said get off on route 50. I've done that before so I do what it says thinking 'this doesn't look like 50.' It wasn't. It was 68 South...right through an old section of Parkersburg then it starts spitting snow. Special. I'm on an unfamiliar and SLOW road. Luckily I see the sign to 50 and start out on my own. GPS pouted for miles. Even luckier the snow stopped and didn't start until 10 miles from home. the assholes here left no room to park. I could barely get Kanda out of the car I had to slip into a space so small and if I banged his box repeatedly in a rat trap truck, oh well.

Dad is having surgery tomorrow, hernia. (Sssh I'm not supposed to tell for reasons I don't grasp). Naturally it IS snowing. Hard. WTF Mother Nature? You really are being a bitch this year.

My only writerly ways today is to whine that my story for that picture prompt, The Prophecy, (working title, not real one) would NOT write much on the way here. I did murder my entire local author's group in it though. Opps. But the big smile on my face for this is when I tweeted that, one of my favorite authors in the genre offered up help!

I put the Guinness in the fridge and is hoping Kroger's has decently priced lamb for tomorrow.

Kanda seems vaguely disappointed to be in this hole again.
