I added 110 words to my fic from yesterday after editing it & started a new one at 655 for a grand total of 765. :D

I didn't actually manage to start writing that new chapter, because the exact lead-in is unclear to me. But I wrote 150 words of chapter summary/draft.

I only have 20 minutes today, so there's not going to be much progress. But I have a lot more character behavior snippets in my head that I love.

The plot thing involves introducing two new characters. In the last chapter. Why, brain? They're just side characters, but they're the only non-canon characters in my whole story.

And, now that I think of it, they are the first characters I have ever invented. Woah. *blinks*

Good thing my deadline is in three weeks. Again: why, brain?


p.s.: has anyone volunteered for next month? I can't do it, I'll be lucky to make my posting deadline as it is. But I've noticed that most of the people who were in my month never showed up here this month... i don't know who else to ask.

Long day today so I didn't get to do any writing. My co-writer wrapped up our story, though while I was at work. I read the ending and I suggested in our google docs one area of our story that could be expanded along with trying to go to a chat client together on the weekend to discuss editing together.

Oh brains excel a crap like that (mine favors telling me plot points when there's no way to write it down and it knows I'll forget before I get to a pen)

Zippitgood just did. Good luck with your deadline. Yeah I can't do it again because I have nanowrimo and final edits on two stories for my publisher in Nov and December will be all book promotions for me so I'm swamped until 2017.

I'm writing the story for myself, so it's not a fixed deadline. It's just that my story is set within the season 2 finale and the third season starts on November 20th. So I would like to post (or at least start posting) my story before that.

I actually thought I had volunteered already last month when this month's volunteer was being discussed. I've been a bit quiet about it because I haven't been well lately, but I'm getting better and should be up for it. But basically, I'm still ready to host November, and had plans to do so and say something about it today. :-)

Hmm, on a second thought, I may have been too optimistic earlier. After trying to do things today, I'm not sure I'm well enough yet to promise to do something regularly, even though it's not a lot of work per day. It might be good if someone else is up for hosting, and I could do another month. I have to think about it a bit.
