Last night I got one of the ubiquitous Pyramid Collection emails and it had a dress 60% off that I had never seen and I had just looked with Mom the night before for Steampunk ideas. I forgot to mention that we DID look at patterns at Joann's and the damn things are 20$. And the one for a corset was MORE than an entire steampunk outfit pattern. Neither of us are sure that we're up to creating something from scratch. Anyhow this dress was on sale for 40$. It's not quite the corset I had in mind but it's better than me trying to expand and recover my old one or trying to make a bustier from scratch. Let's face it, I'm getting a little old for the busty air pirate look. This is not made for lacing up. It's just for show and PC's clothing is usually sized right. I got it a size bigger because I can take the thing in but I can't let it out. I'm sure the dress is no big shakes but I have tons of jackets I could use to dress it up. I'm pretty happy with finding it. Now to get one of their jackets on sale. I was shocked it was in my size because usually any more PC's stuff only goes on sale when nothing but XS and S sizes are left.

I got a bunch of plants for very little today at Bednar's since it's the end of the season really. I got buy one get one herbs, oregano and orange mint, three odd flowers (I can't even remember two of them and one was a double blooming petunia in purple.) And four tomatoes, a mountain spring (new to me) chocolate cherry, Belgium Giant and a San Marzano for making sauce if i can get enough off it (unlikely).

I learned today Kanda will come when called. I was brushing him outside on the back porch and he usually won't leave my side when I do this. Today one of the brazen bunnies showed up and Kanda took off into the yard after it. The bunny got away and I went over and called Kanda and he came trotting back until Mommy rabbit tried to lead him off to save her babies. She got away too and I called him again and he came right back to me. I've worked with dogs who don't listen nearly as good.

I got over 800 words on the Vegas Wedding thanks to a camp nano word challenge. I do so well with those.

And tonight we were treated to two young bucks fighting over a doe on our freaking yard. Both are yearly bucks judging by the antlers and they were sparring away. The doe looked like 'really boys? every time we get together....' And my car was accosted by a tom turkey.

And what didn't go well was day 2 of my challenge. I prefer digital cameras to camera phones because of the better lenses and better options but they only work when you put in the SD card. Head desk. Usually it tells me if the card isn't in there but if it did this time I missed it. You'll get a double dose tomorrow. OOPS.

Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today!
