Happy Halloween



I dressed up at work and because my secretary didn't tell me I had A PARENT coming to see me about sending his kid here I had to meet him dressed up as a blue fairy and he's the brother of a former coworker who was uber Christian and hated the holiday so that was fun... And that's all I'm saying about today because it was a pissy work day.




After I left the school it got better up until my GPS tried to murder me on a dirt road from hell. After work, I went to the haunted cemetery, Tyn Rhos. My Welsh is rusty at best but I think that means 'Tight Moor.' (which seems like a direct translation that utterly misses the intent). Didn't see anything too weird, lots of Evanses, Joneses, Thomases & Davis/Davies, but there were interesting pictures, here a few. The one corner with all the Thomases had a weird feel. I was definitely not alone there and later as I was leaving as I rolled past in the car my cell phone camera suddenly went off on a burst of picture taking...inside it's carrying case with nothing touching it.

I came home and embarrassed the crap out of Kanda by putting him in a Count Dracula outfit. And I finished a shit down of Holiday stories. You can see the FMA one here. How about links to my pro work? ALL of them are totally clean reads for a change.

Peril in Point Pleasant The boys from my Triskelion universe are sent to Point Pleasant but it's not Mothman they're hunting.

Midnight in Moonville I turned my bad experience at the fest into Halloween fic

TNT Terror A ghost hunting group goes Mothman hunting in Point Pleasant (Yes I wrote close to home this year and hey, evil_little_dog gets an honorable mention.

And now I have to bust my ass to do a blog post for my Once Upon a Time in the Weird West story, even before I journey into my nano because it's due by the end of the week and I'm NOT mucking that up.

I forgot my camera cord here and my camera is at Mom's, so I have yet to post pictures of my adventure this weekend. Hopefully tonight.

Apparently Tyn Rhos means "farm on the moor," and it's one of those place names homesick Welshmen brought over from Wales and transplanted. Must not have been very many of them at first because that log cabin church is tiny.

Of course the super-religious parent would want to come on Halloween. Headdesk.

Does Kanda squat and refuse to move when you put clothes on him, or does he run around trying to get rid of them?

Got a chill looking at the cemetery pix! XD There's a creepy road in Melville that I got lost on I think thanks to malevolent presence that seems to tag along whenever I have to go that way. And yet, it doesn't seem to bother the horses at the riding academy. I wonder if likes horses enough to NOT want to spook them, or they're just used to it being there, or we drive by so fast that it ignores them as humans are more fun to mess with. There is a cemetery too in that area & think that presence comes from there. There's also this lil cemetery on a busy road between a strip mall & I think it's a sports place that's so OLD you can't feel anything when you pass it. So either they're content to be there & enjoy the traffic & the wonders of their future, or they're at peace, or they've finally moved on. There's maybe 20, if that, headstones there.

Yeah we have one across the street from ou rent by the hour hotel and I always thought it was on an Indian mound and it turns out it was. (I used it in a story I sold a few years ago)
