Because I can't ever get enough of these. I'm doing several I always do:

[profile] 50bookchallenge (on LJ and I do the same one on goodreads here

I have three on facebook: Alphabet challenge i.e read a book for every letter in the alphabet

literary destinations read a book for every state and however many countries you can

craving for cozies this is for cozy mysteries

Then ones I found online. Some even have rewards. I've done most of these for at least 3 years. I keep track here and then NEVER remember to sign back in to update them (I do good with the ones on FB and Goodreads but not the ones on blogs).

ebook challenge

fullhouse reading challenge

Read more women authors Women still are a publishing minority so let's support them. I read 82 lady authors last year (it helps to read mysteries where women dominate)

Popsugar reading challenge

and unofficially (since I no longer see it being run) the TBR pile to help whittle down that huge to be read pile.

Day 5 :In your own space, post recs for at least three fanworks that you did not create. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

I have plenty to rec, fanfic, fan art and original works.

Since I can't pick just one of [personal profile] evil_little_dog's work here is her AO3 page. She has an ungodly amount of fic up.

If you poke around [personal profile] kiramaru7's page you find various fandoms and original works but here is her Supernatural stuff.

[profile] tinhutlady has some original shorts up on her journal. here 's one she did for ELD.

[profile] scribes_ds has a ton of great Buffy the Vampire Slayer fic here

[personal profile] seta_suzume has a lot of fun fan art and original here

[personal profile] sholio has some great Agent Carter fanfic here and her original web comic, Kismet here

And that's just scratching the surface of my flist on livejournal. They are such a talented bunch.

And in non-Snowflake news, it snowed only a little. Frankly I was hoping for more to get out of that stupid all day meeting tomorrow. I did get a lot of boring things done today like finishing my syllabi and paying bills and putting away the stuff I brought home from PA. I even got the plastic up on 4 of the 7 windows in this place though the living room ones came out like butt. The plastic ripped and it's half packing tape now but at least it's DONE. One of them is billowed like a tall ship's sail. That's how bad these leak. That should save me some money.

I spoke to the landlord about the bathroom which is still leaking when it rains and the next door neighbors still won't let him in to work in the access panel. I'm like be a damn landlord already tell them to set a time and this is happening otherwise I have to wonder what they're hiding in there.

And I got my paperback copy of Once Upon a Time in the Weird West! I'm very excited by that. If you haven't checked out this new anthology I'm in, find it here Still in love with that cover.
