house hunting is heart breaking
Aug. 6th, 2017 12:37 amI still don't know if I'll be buying a house any time soon but I'm still looking.
this house in albany has promise. It's cheaper than I wanted to spend because you DO get what you pay for. Go too cheap and you'll be in constant repairs situation you can't afford.
But I can also afford less than I thought which is frustrating.
This house isn't all that bad. It's out in the country, fairly close to Athens, about 30 miles from work. It's obviously going to need work inside. It needs central air (several thousand dollars). The dining room's wall paper has to go and the rugs in the bathroom. Who the shit puts carpet in a bathroom? Gross. Still, for 100K this could be a decent place so I have to ask WHAT is wrong with it? There's precious little info (not even who's selling it), is there a basement? I know there's no damn driveway just two ruts in the grass.
As much as I want a nice yard, I would have considered buying this duplex (and return it to a single family dwelling) because it's a decent price and just LOOK at the woodwork inside. So why am I not considering this this house in Chillicothe ? It's over sixty miles from work so thank you Trulia for sending me something cool out of my filter zone. IN fact I don't think that there ARE filters for trulia because it also sent me a link to a house that cost a million dollars. Pretty sure that wasn't meant for me.
I've written about 50 words a day for the last three days. Sigh.
