Nothing writing related to say today but I have links. Went to the casino today with Mom. Lost 40$ very fast but then I found two winning machines and came out about seventy to the good. I was disappointed by this new management though. They won't give you a thing to get you back and playing. Usually in your birth month you get some free play. I got nada. Sigh.

So on to the links from around the web.

So I managed to call the credit cards to tell them I'm traveling, I got a tiny umbrella, a wee little deep woods off (Black fly grade), but I could NOT get the damn scopolamine patches anywhere. They're backordered for weeks at every place I tried so I ended up getting dramamine and ginger chunks. That should hopefully help me.

Luckily when I checked out the airport for where to exchange my money, I learned the road we usually travel is closed.

I forgot to do something for work so I had to spend the day doing that and getting short tempered.

Tonight we went to Olive Garden to cash in my birthday free dessert (I got zeppoli as they were shareable) My shrimp scampi was a bit underwhelming, needed more sauce but otherwise good.

It looks like I'll be able to keep my hotel room (I wasn't sure as I'm getting there a day early and wasn't sure if the tour group had a block of rooms). THat'll be good. It's really too far to go anywhere unless I want to catch a cab. I think instead I'll just use the day to swim and write and read.

Speaking of writing, here's the rest of my links, this time from Betty
