Spread too thin

I'm trying to finish a short story as the deadline is looming and I have classes to deal with and not enough time to blog. I got the computer back. It wasn't the hard drive. They claimed it was viruses and registry errors.

They also claimed I had too much info on a lap top (that has very little on it) to fit on a 32MG flash drive as a back up (i.e. cheap) and had to save it on the 50$ 64 MG. Joke was on them, that drive was on sale for 12$ Hahahaha, try to screw me will you?

And got it home and it still won't connect to the internet (took two days of turning the modem off and on every time mine wouldn't connect to the modem) and it took four tries to start it the first time.

I took it back. I watched them run hard drive tests. It passed. THey have NO idea what's going on. THe internet people have no idea what's going on. Today it's going better but if it's on too long I have to shut it down and completely restart so yeah I wasted 200$.


I got two pairs of shoes from Famous Footwear in the mail. Neither fit.

So disappointment is the order of the day.

I DO have something good to say. I'm working on FINALLY finishing Hyperion's Son a Buffy/Angel fanfic I started in 2003. It's a full on novel and people have really enjoyed it. I've joined a LJ challenge to finish it. I'm rereading it and other than a lack of commas (and so many pov breaks I'm going to call it omniscient, muliple pov) and a few blips, it's very readable. It might be better than some of the stuff I'm rushing out today.
