Lunar Earthrise

Tonight was the Lunar Earthrise (George Melies themed man in the moon) steampunk ball. Actually stuff went on all day but I'm finding it harder and harder to go to the library all day then go to the ball. It's a 12 hour day mostly in the sun.

So I only went to the ball. I had fun. Though it was very poorly attended compared to the ones in the past. Maybe it's petering out or maybe it was just bad timing or something this year. We usually have two dozen or more costume contestants and this year less than a dozen and that was with nearly everyone participating.

As for me I enjoyed the music by a local band, Amethystone and the dance troupe. Apparently put me in a long lacy gown and I'll channel Drusilla's dance moves. It was fun but after two hours of being on the road and three hours of dancing I'm too tired for pictures.

On the way there, my moon necklace broke AGAIN, filling my bra with beads and stones. whee.

Author’s Note -- Set in the first few months after LA is sucked into hell, so comic book canon is in play here.
