I love partying on the face of the sun

Today's Renn fest was fun except it was SO FUCKING HOT. Even L, who likes heat, was miserable. I couldn't handle it. Honestly if she wasn't with me I would have left much earlier than I did (overall it was an 11 hour day). L hadn't been to the Renn fest in like a couple decades. We did have fun.

The new food court was good. Loved the falafel wrap. We ate those watching a Punch and Judy show. L's a Punch professor and spent yesterday doing her own P&J show at a different festival. The heat, however, was oppressive. AND they've double the size of this thing by putting a second inner row of vendors and moved Albannach to a different stage where I missed half of the show and only stayed for half the second time because it was too hot to sit in the sun like that. I might even have a mild burn and I almost never burn (As ELD how many times I burned in FL). Albannach is a group from Scotland and I love their music.

I wasn't going to buy jewelry. I bought jewelry. Well I planned to buy it from the knotty jewel but I ended up buying more than I wantd to because it was his last show. I've been buying from him for 20 years. sigh. I got some dragon earrings from Uncommon Adornments. Did not buy the corset because the place I like for that was out of my size (I might have to buy it online) and I DID buy a sporran sort of belt pouch for steampunk which was less than I thought it would be.

I also drank a Guinness and a delightful Bergamont Blue mead, honey wine with early grey flavoring and blue berries. It's a local columbus winery so I need to look for that. It was lovely.

They had a falconer there (he was a darling young man) had hawks and falcons. I would like to learn this skill

Fun, expensive and tiring. Boy my back hurts too and I'm not sure how I could sweat that much and live but it was good. I was nauseated all day from the heat but...
