I woke up to the sounds of rain and running water. The creek was cresting. The bridge I travel over was under a bit when I went across. Please, I'd rather have had the snow than these floodwaters. I had to move broken bits of tree from the parking lot to escape it.

Ah well.

First let me boost the signal for [community profile] fandomtrumpshate. You can bid on fanworks in SO many fandoms and you can find them here ALL the charities chosen for this auction benefit organizations that fight against the hate Trump and his minions have inflicted on this country. Bidding starts cheap.

SO if you ever wanted me to write something for you (I have put in for Buffy and Angel fandoms and Fullmetal Alchemist) now is the time to bid (and for those who know me and know I do other fandoms, PM me and ask if I'd be interested in trying that should you win). I was a bit surprised at how many Harry Potter offers there are. So if that's your jam you're spoiled for choice!! Most fandoms have only a few offers but wow there's like 40 for Harry. Crosses fingers someone bids but if not, ah well.

You can find my offerings here

And while I won't be doing this challenge there are those of you who might want to do it (Yes [personal profile] enemytosleep I'm looking at you) [community profile] hurtcomfortex which is taking nominations for characters.

[personal profile] spikesgirl58nominated me to post covers of seven books I love - one cover a day for a week. There is to be no explanations or reviews, just covers. Each time I post I will ask someone else to take up the challenge. Obviously it goes without saying that if I tag you and you don't want to it, you don't have to do it. Please do not feel obligated to join in.

I'm tagging [personal profile] dragonydreams

(okay I will say this, breaking the rules, this is a fantastic historical mystery series though this is like book 10 or something. Do start at the beginning)

What I Just Finished Reading: How to Hunt Ghosts by Joshua P. Warren and it's exactly what it sounds like, a book about how to hunt ghosts (for the Popsugar hobby prompt). I already knew most of this but it had some good idea.

What I am currently reading: The Golden Tresses of the Dead by Alan Bradley. I love Flavia and this book is a fun read. (for the popsugar a wedding prompt and can probably put it into [profile] ljbookbingo If you've not read Flavia's books it's worth it.

What I plan to read next: Um Parable of the Sower and The Murder Pit I think.
