I'm wondering if I might have felt a kinship with Connor because I'm kind of a contrary ass. I went back to my usual Chinese place and the usual waitress is rattles off my usual meal (though I DO bounce through a few of them). THat's what you want right?
No, I want a menu and time to peruse it forever because my usual will not do because you know it's my usual. I am an asshole. (but I learned they had moo shu veggies and that's what I wanted because I hadn't had it in forever)
Speaking of Connor, in my moving my stories to AO3 I found some of them were already up in the Angel Book of Days challenge which I've mentioned before. However, I hadn't really reread any of it. I had forgotten a) how GOOD some of the stories were and I'm not sure I ever realized just how many Connor based stories there were. There was nearly a dozen of them, most of them rewriting Home. I probably hadn't had time to read them back in the day because I was in grad school and/or just starting my teaching job.
It was interesting to see that I'm not alone in being bothered by that episode. Still the number of stories shocked me since, I'm honest about it, Connor was not a popular character but there were several people asking for him. Sadly I didn't save the stories written for me in these ficathons. A few were here but most no. Then again I got stiffed more often than not.
Part of my brain keeps going you'd like to do a ficthon again, music based but I know better...
Anyhow I wanted to share one of the better Connor stories I found there. It's well written and plausible alternative to what happened after Home and probably hasn't been shared anywhere in 15 years.
Snow in Melt by SelDear. You should give it a try.
And there's this one, not written for Angel Book of Days. In fact was written FOR me but I thought for the longest time I was the one who wrote it (I've been looking for it on my computer for about two months History by

And I found this and it was fun and I'm not sure I've shared it.
