I'm currently at work and can't add the day five tallybut I'm going out on the chocolate walk today and won't be home until late. I didn't want to hold this up until then. I'll add the Day 5 tally later

So. Much. Chocolate!

But before that, let me say it was 95 in my classroom on Tuesday. Today that same class room was 44 degrees. That'll teach us to bitch. You don't like it hot? Fine, we're turning off the heat entirely. But the good news is my chemistry prof friend TH has been hired back (oops I guess we CAN'T teach with just one person) so he won't be leaving a the end of the year. I'm so happy.

TH and L came with me on the chocolate walk. It was 34 degrees with a freezing mist and we walked for 2 hours. Can we take a break? NO! Damnit, CHOCOLATE. If my fat lazy ass can hike these hills, so can you. There was about 25 businesses, many I've never been in and I will say this for Jackson, almost ALL our old downtown still has active businesses. That's fantastic when you think about how dead most small town business areas are. I have too much chocolate. No less than 4 chocolate donuts, a half dozen brownies, gourmet cake truffle pops from my favorite coffee house, lots of chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate bars, hearts and kisses. Ice cream from my favorite Ice Cream parlor (the one with the nut grinder that's been doing nuts since the 1800s) Cookies, popcorn and more. Dum Dums (I'll channel my inner Malcolm). One group gave us a bag of moonpies and Yoohoo, I feel so delightfully Appalachian right now.

I found a new sweetery, found out what Tastes of Yore will be which I saw moving in last week, a retro candy, toy and gift shop (Evil Little Dog will be jealous) , a flower shop, went into a couple clothing stores I'm too fat for, looked at prom dresses and remembered being 17, went into the jewelry store/museum, went into the actual museum, walked and walked and walked.

We opted out of Arch and Eddies for dinner (the line was already ridiculous) and crossed town out of chocolate zone to my favorite Mexican place. Mmmmm enchiladas camaron! I'm woefully behind on things but it was a good day.
