Writerly Ways
May. 31st, 2020 08:53 pmTo be honest I have nothing but links today. I tried hiding from the country burning in the garden and came away with a thorn buried in my finger and my back/neck wrecked so I lost another work day. It's been a long time since I've felt this helpless. I wanted to have pitch for you so I'll try one. See what you think (I don't know if they'll push thru with pitmadness on twitter or put it off)
How about these for my YA Splinters of Silver and Cold Iron? Would any of it make you want to read more. Killian can see the future but can't see a way to break free of his abusers. When his adoptive parents move from Ireland to Wisconsin, Killian is shocked to make friends. Can he keep Taz and Ben alive or will the thing that has stalked his life end all their lives at sixteen?
or Killian sees the future but he didn't foretell moving from Ireland to Wisconsin. All he wants is to finish school and escape his abusive parents. Making friends with Taz and Ben was a bonus. Too bad Taz's detective father thinks he's the prime suspect in murders at their school.
or Irish seer, Killian falls for Taz which should have made for a great senior year but students begin to drop dead and Taz's detective father suspects him. Worse, his abusive parents might be behind it and Taz has secrets of her own. He never foretold her being a shifter.
What do you think? Suck? Workable? (will have to shave a few words out of each in order to hashtag it)
