Bang Your Head

So the work related anxiety attacks began around 3AM. Woke up tired. Found out the idiot hospital didn't give my uncle ANY pain killers for the amputation (the doc said he wrote for them, they said he didn't)

I find out there is a basket of keys that might work in the lab drawers to open them so I go down there and to see if there is a cabinet (there is) for my microscopes. I put them away. I put away all the books and the models too. I did find the key and opened the drawers only to find the 1990s inside them. No lie, I found computer mouses with balls, IBM thinkpads.

And then I get an email going why aren't you at the faculty meeting. WHAT meeting?!? I had no email and nothing from the electronic calendar so I was never invited. ANd it was about the contract. All I can figure is it was a union meeting and they probably think I'm not a member. I'm not happy... and in another email I learn I didn't get the big lecture hall. Sigh. I wanted that. On the other hand that means all the recorded lectures will now be used.

I came home to find the proof of the novella waiting for a final edit. Ugh, no one tells you you'll have to reread your damn thing about 5 times until you learn to hate it.

J: Name a fandom you didn’t care/think about until you saw it all over the internet. Eh, none really. BUT I will say both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Fullmetal Alchemist bounced off me the first time I tried to get into them. In both cases evil little dog said you NEED to give them another try and that's how I got into both fandoms.
