I hope it's a good one.

So it's my birthday

It was lazy and boring and all around disappointing just as I expected it to be only worse. Dad usually doesn't come in and want the TV until 2-3 pm. He came in at 11 and that was it. Nothing I wanted would go on and if it did he'd talk thru it so I just stayed in my room working on the Prodigal Son campaign. Mom was at the doctor's.

Dinner was Chinese from a new restaurant. It was okay. I had pie instead of cake. I'm not that fond of cake.

I got a daily affirmation book and some cookies from my BFF from high school, a friend from med school sent me a fake flower bouquet that is actually gorgeous (to make up for the shit real bouquet I got from the company she used as a get well for me) and ELD sent me a cool cat shelter shirt, a couple of books including Maggie Stiefvater's latest some cute odds and sods and a puzzle. Thanks to her and thanks to everyone who took the time to wish me a Happy Birthday. I appreciate it.

I got this from a Native American charity I've supported for years but have mixed feelings about (it's religious and I'm not sure how much of their culture it might erode) but still it was nice
