I was not able to sleep much at that hotel so I'm tired now. Things got easy as they reestablished valet parking at the clinic (where was that when I was in a wheelchair, thanks for nothing Covid)
I saw the resident first and the doctor second. They both agreed with what my brother said, the clicking and pain is to be expected and will go away and isn't likely to be more torn cartilage. No I don't need more imaging. That's both good and bad news. Good that there's not more injury, bad there's no easy fix. It looks good. Its getting stronger and I need to keep up my PT as I've been doing it.
I can start driving to tolerance. I can start getting rid of the bigger brace and maybe get one of those copper OTC braces He wants me to use the walker in lab as standing for 4 hours might be too much for the leg. I can use the cane where I feel safe and the walker elsewhere. I do know I'm going to get bad arthritis in this knee. I know it will need replaced.
I will probably have no choice but to go the gym at the school to keep riding the bike and leg presses. God I hope it will be not too crowded.
I also told the doctor everything that happen with them not getting me meds, with not answering ANY calls for PT orders for almost a month not for me OR the PT clinic and how they called in finally after my insurance stepped in and said use a knee replacement protocol (he looked at me in horror and said that is the wrong protocol! No kidding) and that my GP had to write for the PT twice because his office never responded and how they finally sent the out patient PT to the wrong clinic without even asking me which one I wanted to use.
He was horrified as he should be. He said my office manager will be calling you. And three hours later she did. I related it all to her and told her (which I forgot when I was there) that at one point I refused to just leave another message and they let me talk to someone who assured me that Keesha would take care of it.
SILENCE and then she said quietly 'Keesha hasn't worked here in a year.' Well then your office staff LIED to me and that's all I can tell you. She was furious. I also told her that the office has failed to give my insurance the proper paperwork since the beginning of April and they had yet to be paid.
When we got home we did a lot of work. There is so much old food in the pantry to toss out. I got the summer dress clothes out. Went out to dinner with a friend so hopefully all will be well now. I'm heading for home tomorrow.
