Goodbye Aunt Ann
Jul. 20th, 2021 10:57 pmI failed to mention it for a variety of reasons but my Aunt Ann passed away a couple days ago and her viewing was today. I haven't seen her or some of the cousins on that side for a while. I knew she was dying last week so I brought clothes back for the funeral. Ann was 100 years old and ready to go. It was a life well lived.
I did get to see one of my cousins whom I've always liked but haven't seen in years as he's never back here at Christmas when I am. It's funny both of my parents upon watching Titans tonight both said the same thing the young man playing Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) looks a lot like this cousin at that aged and damned if he doesn't. It was nice seeing him however briefly.
I could have stayed longer if I stayed seated but we also had to come back for Dad who had cataract surgery today. (mom had both of them done already) and is being very male about it.
I was surprised to see how many of my cousins were surprised to see me walking straight upright instead of leaning on my cane. I try to do my best to keep a normal gait in spite of pain.
