Writerly Ways
Aug. 21st, 2022 09:44 pmI had a plan to talk about side drama but honestly I'm not ready for class tomorrow so I need to get back to that but I wanted to get you the links especially the open calls as there are a few I think sound great.
But let me share this funny story from today
At 2 pm yesterday I brought home a watermelon and left it on the floor in the canvas grocery bag because I wasn't cutting it until I finished other fruit. Rocket saw it, ate next to it and was fine.
This morning he was fine. He ate and ignored the watermelon bag. He came to sleep on the couch and at noon he was suddenly in stalk mode, pointing right at the bag. I'm like dude it's a watermelon, same one as yesterday, same as this morning. He was having none of it. Thinking maybe a mouse got in I went to the bag and terrified Rocket.
Thinking cats be weird I left him to it. Came back 10 minutes later he's still ruff up staring at the watermelon bag so I unbag the watermelon. He screamed like it was going to kill him. He stood in the kitchen refusing to eat and growling at a watermelon....
He settled it by being as close to me as he can be, hiding from the watermelon and crying non stop about it.
I had to move the watermelon in order to get Rocket back in the kitchen and I knew he was hungry because I had gotten busy and forgot dinner time.
