Writerly Ways redux
Jun. 27th, 2023 10:35 pmMostly just links. I can't seem to clean. I can't get anything done and Big Lots isn't helping. I found both a really nice recliner and a tv stand BUT they don't deliver. So I say well how am I getting any of this home? The sales clerk looks embarrassed and admits well they kind of have this third party guy but he's super expensive to deliver just in town. He wasn't even sure he'd deliver out of town.
Now let me get this straight. You sell furniture. You have no in-house delivery (as many do not these days) but your third party guy is so bad you don't even want to tell me about them. So what? If I bought a mattress of a big ass sectional both of which you have, am I getting my own U-Haul? Obviously the answer is yes because you're still in business. ARGH. I really really liked that recliner but if you're not going to deliver it's a no-go (and Mom suggested Wayfair and I asked her you want to buy a chair you've never sat in? Yeah...no)
So let's go with the links (as I'm still too blurry brained for fannish stuff. I have some ideas but...I miss having someone to talk to about it. Other than ELD no one else I know watched The Owl House)
But before I jump into the links I do have a question. Besides ignoring them (which is what I'm doing) I'm at a loss as to what to do I'm in a twitter group that does daily writing goals, they can be very simple. This month we had someone join us who is a) prolific b) whines constantly about goals stressing her out (so why be part of this group) c) cries constantly about having no ideas and everything she does is crap. d) is constantly tweeting all of this to the group.
I get anxiety about writing. She ignores or refutes any advice she is given. Granted this is NOT my group so really there is nothing I have to do about this. I'm just curious have you ever dealt with someone like this? I mean there's always that one in a writers group....
