Writerly Ways
Nov. 19th, 2023 07:29 pmThinking on mean things to do characters. One of them is give them two bad choices and let them angst on it. Like me do I look at the pathology report or do I not? If it's bad then what? The doc isn't calling me until the 28th. But not knowing was literally tearing me up. What would a character do?
I broke and looked at the report. It was there. The bad news was the cancer chewed almost 50% thru the myometrium (the muscle of the uterus) the good news is it's not in the tubes, the ovaries, the cervix, the omentum or the nodes. So if I'm reading the report right, it was contained but it was a near thing. I won't know officially for another week but now I can rest easier. But what if I hadn't looked? This isn't a 100% of all my links but I had to rerecord two lectures for my classes and I am exhausted so this is what you're getting.
