I threw a hail Mary pass and winged a story out there to a quiet horror anthology and within days they said yes. WHOO HOO! This was a story I had written for another anthology and the main character is Buffyesque...if Buffy lived to be 90. Evil Little Dog helped edit this so thank you. It's not fantastic pay but I'm glad someone is going to get to read this story. I'll let you know more when I know it.

Also taken by surprise when I got paid for the Anna Karenina story and it was 170$ so whoo hoo again.

I was also taken by surprise by work in a bad way (once again being asked to equip a brand new lab in at a brand new branch while my own lab is falling down around me) It's heart breaking really for all of us. We feel unvalued.

So for the fannish 50 thingie let me keep it short and sweet. I loved the Librarians when it was on. I enjoyed the characters. I loved the story lines. I'm a big fan of Christian Kane. However is is not a fandom I write for. That's far from unusual. It's rare that I write more than drabble/ficlet level stories for my fandoms but when I do, it's usually a prodigious outflow (Buffy, Fullmetal Alchemist, Prodigal Son, The Owl House) even my forever fandom Star Trek is not one I find easy to write.

Why am I bringing this up? Because I just learned The Librarians is getting a spin off! And Christian Kane will be reprising his role (I'll be honest even though I've been rewatching it sporadically on Ovation, I can't remember how the series ended). I hope it'll be good or at the least not terrible as so many spin offs and reboots have been lately (Sorry both Night Court and Frazier)
