My memory drabbles came out as a triptych. It's cut for language so it' s R rated.

Triptych
Dawn
She was woven into their memories. She remembered having a huge crush on Angel and spying on him and Buffy through the railing when she was supposed to be upstairs in bed. She remembered the first time she heard Giles’ soft accent and melting. Willow had distinct memories of taking Buffy’s little sister for ice cream when they first moved to town. Xander remembered tending to her cut knee when she fell off her bike. Mom remembered giving birth to her. It was all lies. All those memories pure invention. Did they resent her for them? Dawn quaked at the thought.

Connor

He had been cut from their memories like a cancer, some diseased thing that needed to be excised before the body died. Connor knew that wasn’t why Angel had done it and on good nights, he was grateful but on the bad ones…he couldn’t feel more unwanted. Only Lorne and Angel were left. He had gone and sang for Lorne, knocking him out but his memories didn’t return. Connor’s own were twisted like old roots, sometimes he remembered his real life, sometimes he remembered the fairy tale. Angel’s spell had left him a damaged little fucker but better that than insane.

Unnatural Duo

He had been in London wasting Reilly money, faking his way through a summer abroad, far more interested in partying than class. She had been there to visit Giles, a man Angel had suggested he look up. Over pints she told him she was a mystical ball of energy made flesh and woven into everyone’s memories. He told her he was the bastard son of two vampires removed from the minds of everyone who had known him. They were unnatural and really had nothing else in common. Maybe they didn’t need it. All they needed was time to make real memories.
