anniversary day

It's my parent's 52nd anniversary They didn't do much, just went out in the sports car and on to dinner. I went my own way to pick up a sack of pills and I found a farmer's market. Not much on offer because it's early but I picked up a pint of strawberries and sweet cheese pierogi. I have no idea but they sounded interesting.

I went to dinner at Ichiban's (as the parents don't like Japanese) and had some age tofu and crunchy roll, which was amazing, shrimp tempura wrapped with rice and covered with diced mango and tuna covered in mango sauce.

I've decided to go to Rhode Island after all. I'll have to stay about a half hour from where I want to be because the hotels in the area are seriously all in the 300-900$ a night range (yeah I prefer not to pay my month's rent to stay one night). I've always wanted to see all the mansions in Newport, like the Breakers. I'm excited to see them. I need to work out how I'll spend the day on Block Island. And I think I'll swing by Gettysburg on the way back home.

I'm just as glad I'm not going to Canada because I think I'm getting ill. Yesterday around lunch I had a pain that wrapped around my left chest. I can't catch a good breath on that side. I'm better when I'm sitting up but it was misery trying to sleep. I'm not sure if it's a muscle pain or something internal. If it persists I'll go see someone.

The plans to go to the lake have been scuttled. We were going tomorrow but it's now 80-100% chance of rain from now until at least Saturday! Yikes.


I need to finish my story. It's nearly done but I'm lucky. If DSP rejects it fast (which I think they will) I could still send it to Nine Star. Also MLR's halloween one isn't June 1st it's july 30th so I can try for that too. I could use a few beta readers.
