Happy Thanksgiving

Yes, running a bit late with that but I mean it. I am very thankful for my friends and family and all of you out there reading this, putting up with me and my moods, for those who help me with my writing or just lending an ear. Thank you.

The casino went as good and as bad as I hoped and feared. Dad fussed a bit. "This doesn't feel like the holiday.' True. Then the reservation got pushed back an hour but Lucky Uncle got us into the high rollers lounge so we were out of the mad house and it WAS a mad house. None of us thought there would be this many people there. We didn't gamble. Hell, you couldn't find a machine.

And they ran out of turkey but none of us cared. We're not much into it. Mom and my Aunt got chicken wrapped around cranberry stuffing. I had pumpkin ravioli and about a cow's worth of prime rib (also the choice of the menfolk). They had mashed potatoes from purple potatoes and the baby beet salad must have been ate to death because it was giant old beets by the time I got there. The wadorf salad was amazing and the cheesecake with a blanket of silky spicy pumpkin puree was great.

So over all a nice day.

And I'm getting some writing done. Again the widget is lagging behind. I'm to 40K
