Black Friday

cornerofmadnessMom (before I return home) We won't be going Black Friday shopping, promise.
Me- uhuh, you say that now.
I return home (Mom bouncing like a little kid) We're going Black Friday shopping. And so we did. And I got a lot of cool stuff for reasonable without too much hassle (as we did not go into the freaking mall) so it all worked out.
I got some cool geek ornaments at Hallmark (they no longer really put them on sale like they used to so...) and the only part that was bad was a small line in Bed Bath and Beyond. We planned on Macy's but there was so many cars there we thought no way in hell. I did find fun stuff at Home Goods. I still have little for my brother and his wife. I was also let loose in Michael's and almost everything was 70% off that I wanted. Yes I bought more beads for the dragon's hoard of beads.
The evening has gone less well. Dad and a few friends have been saying black everytime I say white as if we're looking to start a fight. That and Mom is looking so old tonight even Dad was worried about it. Aging is so fucking hard.
