Made it home to bitter disappointment
Jul. 17th, 2018 09:46 pmMom and I spent the morning cutting a jillion trees out of my garden (well I cut, she bagged) then drove home. That was uneventful if you disregard a major accident in the town I went to h.s. in.
I got home to find my Right Stuf anime made it here (Keep an eye on their anniversary/birthday/whatever sales right now because there are stuff dead cheap). I got Ajin and Dramatical Murder both sight unseen because the entire seasons were 15$ each. I can take a chance at that price. That wasn't the disappointing thing.
I also got my Pyramid Collection box. It was very lacking in depth and it was supposed to be a dress and a bedspread. This bedspread .we're like how could those fit in that box?
The dress is backordered. Okay, mildly disappointing (and I'm betting I never see this dress). The bedspread was one I've wanted for YEARS. I've longed for it, been playing new curtains for it. Finally bought it. And it's not a bedspread like they said. It's a tapestry throw, you know the cheap ass things you can get at wal-mart, that they're calling a bedspread. It's thin. It's like burlap. It's going back. I'm heartbroken. I thought it was beautiful. Honestly if it were cheaper I'd keep it but no, I'm not spending 80$ on something that is thin and going to snag (because I have two of those tapestry throws and all they do is pull threads out). Sigh.
In theory tomorrow I get my computer back. Here's hoping it's not more bitter disappointment.

Date: 2018-07-18 03:28 pm (UTC)Like you, I love Pyramid Collection stuff, but it's so overpriced that I never buy from them, just peruse the catalogue and then toss it in the recycling bin. It's a lose-lose when it's both overpriced AND cheaply made!

Date: 2018-07-19 03:46 am (UTC)Oh they are so expensive (though as I'm finding not that much more than half the online plus places) and if it's on sale it's probably nothing but smalls and extra smalls. I will say the clothing I have purchased from them has all been excellent except twice (one was made funny and one was crap but I bought that for the corset that came with it and that was nice)
