So I wrote in a fandom I haven't before trying to fill a lonely stocking and after I get 500 words, I see a little side request that changed everything. Tough, this is what you're getting now. Ah well.

Can you believe that within 4 days I got back the second round of edits on my novella? I can't! Yikes.

But that's not fannish. No, a couple of things. Hello to the new people from the Snowflake challenge and the great Tumblr diaspora. Welcome. If you have questions ask.

Now here's one of mine. Well first the thoughts. I was looking over [community profile] su_herald and it was something about the comics canon (why did I look at it? I literally have no idea.) It was interesting that there was something of an argument being made that the IDW Angel After the Fall comics weren't 'canon' and only the Dark Horse comics were. That struck me as SO odd. For one, Whedon himself had a hand in the IDW comic so literally how can it not be canon? HOW in the name of God did Dark Horse not seem to know about it and/or ignored it since it really apparently contradicts it. And that the IDW wasn't very good but the Dark Horse stuff was (honestly I didn't think the IDW stuff was that bad but have not read any of the DH stuff)

The question however is, how did Dark Horse deal with Buffy learning about Connor? I honestly don't have plans of reading the DH books at this late date (though I might read the Angel & Faith ones). The actual show never made it clear that Willow and Faith kept it secret or not. So I was wondering did the comics ever address it. I did see one wiki where Willow recruits Connor for some bizarre mission (where he stays temporarily in Quor-Toth, which right there makes no sense so doesn't make me want to go and read) but I was wondering does Buffy know about Connor and was there a comic's canon reaction?

And in non-fandom thoughts, I'm working on a CHristmas story and it needs to have things go wrong but NOT be too angsty. Thoughts? I'm working on 2 stories but one thing I will say about these new 'anthologies' is that they aren't truly anthologies so much as an umbrella title. When the shortest story word count is 15K that's a lot. And oddly I wanted to do established couples romance which is harder to generate that much word count since you don't have the shooting fish in the barrel aspect of first time dating (with date nights, etc). So, how DO you think you keep a marriage romantic/happy (in this case one story is m/m and the other f/f/m). Yes I'm crowdsourcing prompts/ideas
